👋 Hello, I’m a Sphynx cat dad, visual novelist, artist, and lifelong lover of collaborative storytelling. 🎲 I’ve been playing and running games most of my life. 🌟 My goal as a DM is simple. Player characters are meant to matter. They should stand out, shape the story, and move it forward as protagonists, not passengers. 🌒 I care more about mood, character, and memorable moments than strict optimization. If players walk away remembering a scene, a choice, or a feeling, then I’ve done my job.

🐾 Goodness, when I'm not running games, I'm playing with or snuggling with my cat, Jellybean, writing, drawing, listening to Korn, U2, Depeche Mode, In Flames, and Celine Dion, reading, listening to audiobooks, watching movies, playing video games, and collecting things.

⚔️ I have a solid understanding that player characters are exceptional, central to the story, clearly impactful, and drive events forward rather than being carried along by them. 🌟 I care about creating spaces where people feel safe to be creative, to be invested in their characters, and to be excited to see what happens next. It’s important to me that players have fun, that they feel seen, heard, and heroic.

🎬 If my games were movies, they'd be directed by me. I have experience as a writer, storyboard artist, producer, director, actor, special effects artist, rotoscoper, and editor. I'm even a classically trained 2D/3D animator! If I had to pick one, it would be Mamoru Oshii.

Rules are...

⚖️ Rules are to be respected but are not always absolute. Fun matters more, and sometimes the rules can get in the way of that. If I need to give a definitive ruling, I fall on the side that lends itself to everyone enjoying the outcome.

When it comes to voices

🎭 When it comes to voices, I know I'm out of my depth. I'll sometimes give it a go, but it's rare. I think of myself as an audiobook reader rather than an animated film actor. I lower and deepen my voice, but that's about it.
