About Claudio (Claus)
Hola! I am a nerd who loves games and stories. I have been GMing RPGs for more than six years, primarily D&D 5E. I love welcoming new people into the amazing, weird world of role-playing games, trying out new systems, and creating new things. Lately, I have been playing a lot of Daggerheart and the Cosmere RPG—and I can't wait for Mistborn!! I am fluent in Spanish and English, and I am comfortable playing in either. Off the table: Star Wars, the Cosmere, Critical Role, and anything with a great, strange story.

How Claudio (Claus) runs games
Story first, but the story is ours, not a script. I run prepared situations, not railroads: I know my systems, make rulings that serve the moment, and follow where your choices and the dice lead. I love roleplay and combat both. Expect meaningful encounters drawn from your backstory; fights that cost something and choices that echo. I spotlight every character and keep it moving so no one sits idle. New to TTRPGs? Teaching is one of my favorite parts, and I'll get you playing fast.

I deal with rules issues by...
Either quickly looking up a particular rule, or making something up in the moment that best serves the game. In that case, we can talk about the ruling and revise it after the game.
Rules are...
Important to set the foundations for a strong game and story. They should not get in the way of fun or a good story, so it is important to understand them and know when to change them.
Claudio (Claus)'s ideal table
My favorite players take ownership of their fun. They make choices, take big swings, and push the story somewhere I didn't see coming. I balance combat, roleplay, and a little exploration, and I love improvising to see where it lands. Care about your character, engage with what's in front of you, and make room for everyone to shine. Min/maxing is fine, just bring the roleplay too!

I love it when a player
Takes the initiative and drives the story somewhere unexpected. Take big risks and wild swings!
I think min/maxing...
Min/maxing is fine. I don't mind it.
