About Mycol

Hello! My name is Mycol, sometimes called Thumper. I'm a medieval enthusiast, participating heavily in the SCA out of the barony of Glymm Mere, and I am an avid gamer. I have been playing Dungeons and Dragons since I was twelve, and have played many Role Playing games over many years. To include Robotech, Rifts, Deathwatch and just about everything White Wolf.

My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be

Paladium, I just know it. It's not very good and the creators have done some questionable things, but I know it. 5th edition DnD. Come on. Classic. Deathwatch. I don't know it as well as the others, but I love me some 40k.

My favorite system of all Time is

FATE. I don't know it well enough to run it, but the few times I've played it has been some of the best table top story telling I've been involved in.

When I'm not running games I'm...

I'm fighting in the SCA. I fight both Armored Combat, and Rapier and am usually found on the Warfield leading troops into battle. This isn't rolling dice, we're actually hitting each other with weapons and wearing armor. It's fun, and I have the bruises to prove it :P

How Mycol runs games

I'm all about story telling. While I am the Game Master, I set the scene, give voice to the NPC's, and drive an over all arch, while you, the players build the world with your actions, and together we tell a story.

Do you like history? Do like being involved in a story that you help tell, shaping the world through your actions? Then my table is for you. I'm not a fan of making uber characters, and I enjoy the story that we tell together. If that all sounds good to you, then my table is where you should sit.

Is a pain in the booty. Usually it's combat related, and nobody likes that. When it happens by happy accident though, that's fun.
