About Natty
I love TTRPG’s, especially D&D, anime, Lord of the Rings, old PlayStation games, and a host of other things, all of which influence my usually completely homebrew campaigns! I am a big proponent of both big role play and sound combat mechanics. If you want to get a feel for my vibe check out my socials or feel free to message me here!

My favorite shows/movies are
BIG FAN of the Lord of The Rings and Hobbit films, I rewatch the extended editions a few times a year. Also love Studio Ghibli movies as well! For tv shows it's definitely One Piece.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Collaborative, inclusive, fair
How Natty runs games
I love RP and combat, I make sure that all combats tie into the story narratively as much as possible, but also love the session where we dig into character development! I’m a bit of a rules lawyer (the good kind) but rule of cool in the amazing instances that calls for it! I also like to use a combination of Roll20 and Discord, but am also good down for theatre of the mind! I do character voices, and try my best to world build homebrew campaigns around the backstories of my players, or make sure their backstories tie in to the world if we're doing a prebuilt module.

I deal with rules issues by...
Trying to stick to rules as written 75% of the time, and doing what sounds and feels the most fair to the players and situation the other 25%.
I prep by
Making sure the rest of the world is moving during the session! D&D is at its most fun when the world you're playing in lives and breathes, and reacts when you poke it!
Rules are...
Meant to add structure to fun! In the words of Brian Murphy "It's Lord of The Rings not Bugs Bunny"
Natty's ideal table
I have in the past and do currently DM all LGBTQIA tables and make sure the environment feels inclusive and safe for all players. A table where people feel safe to take big swings and appreciated for their effort is the best kind of table to be at. Also open to all skill levels, whether you've been playing for 40+ years or it's your first session, you're welcome at my table! As for vibe I like to be consistent with theme. If we all agree we're playing a low magic western setting campaign, I want to make sure the characters are created and informed with that in mind to help ensure immersion. I also try not to take myself too seriously so always feel free to ask questions!

I love it when a player
Takes a big roleplay swing! I can do all the prep in the world but when you as players interact with the NPC's and each other, that's when the magic starts to happen! Just make sure what you want to do on table is okay with the other players above table, and if it is, swing!
I think min/maxing...
IS OKAY!!!* As long as that player is also role playing, in and out of combat, to their best ability. Having your character underperform in combat based on your expectations can be frustrating! In the wise words of @sarahiscoffee "I love roleplaying! Roleplaying hitting things really hard!"
