About Brayden

Hi, I’m Brayden, a dedicated Dungeon Master focused on delivering cinematic, high-impact tabletop experiences through Dungeons & Dragons 5e. I’ve been playing D&D since I was seven years old, with over twenty years of experience both behind the screen and at the table. My campaigns focus on cinematic storytelling, meaningful player choices, and tactical combat. I run tension-driven campaigns where character decisions matter and the world reacts to the party’s actions. Players can expect immersive worldbuilding, memorable NPCs, and moments where strategy and roleplay come together to shape the story. My current projects are designed as connected modules within a larger trilogy, allowing player decisions to influence not only the immediate adventure but also the future of the setting itself. After extensive playtesting, these adventures will be refined and published. Over the years I’ve run games ranging from intimate one-player narrative campaigns to large open-world tables with over 30 players, giving me experience managing many different play styles and group dynamics. After years of running in-person games, I’m excited to bring those same cinematic experiences to the online table through virtual tabletops. If you enjoy story-driven adventures, impactful choices, and immersive worlds, you’ll feel right at home at my table.

I became a GM because

of the feeling I experienced playing at my father’s table when I was young. Exploring a carefully crafted world and living through those adventures left a lasting impression on me. Now I can’t get enough of creating that same feeling for others—no matter their age or experience level.

I got started GMing...

when I was about 17 years old. My younger brother and his friends wanted to play, but my father had become busy with work, so I stepped in to run games for them. What began as simple premade one-shots eventually grew into full campaigns, original worlds, and long-running adventures that lasted years

When I'm not running games I'm...

Usually working on my own modules, refining and preparing for publishing. Coming up with new story hooks, adventures, or just silly ideas to try out in the next game. I've been called a daydreamer before, but most of those 'daydreams' just happen to be about D&D and fantasy worlds.

How Brayden runs games

I specialize in structured, professionally designed campaigns that balance: Tactical, meaningful combat Character-driven narrative arcs Horror and tension when appropriate Moments of levity and humor I am currently developing a three-part original module series, beginning with live playtests hosted here. Players aren't just participating in a game, they’re stepping into a living world where their decisions and feedback help shape the future of the setting. My sessions emphasize: Clear encounter design Custom maps and polished stat blocks Consequences that matter Strong pacing and immersive atmosphere Whether you are a veteran player looking for tactical depth or a newer player wanting immersive storytelling, my table is structured, welcoming, and collaborative.

I once ran a session...

I once ran a session in a hostel that lasted nearly 48 hours. About 30 players rotated in and out during the event, using over 50 different character sheets. Some characters were premade, others were brought by players. It was absolute legendary chaos—and somehow the story still held together.

I prep by

I prep by reviewing my notes, listening to the music I plan to use for the session, and imagining the adventure from a player’s perspective. I picture different choices the party might make and how the world might respond, which often leads to new story ideas.

When it comes to voices

I love experimenting with voices for NPCs and giving each character something memorable. Sometimes it works perfectly, other times it’s hilariously bad—but when it lands right, it makes the character feel real and adds a lot to the table.

Brayden's ideal table

My table is collaborative, respectful, and story-oriented. I enjoy playing with people who are excited to engage with the world, their characters, and the other players at the table. Players who enjoy tactical combat, meaningful character choices, and immersive storytelling tend to fit especially well in my games. Creativity, teamwork, and a willingness to lean into the adventure are always encouraged. My table welcomes both new and experienced players. New players will receive guidance and support, while veteran players will find plenty of depth in the encounters and story. The overall vibe is focused but fun—moments of tension and drama balanced with humor, creativity, and memorable character interactions. If you enjoy collaborative storytelling and helping shape the world through your decisions, you’ll likely feel right at home at my table. Players who enjoy influencing the development of new adventures and seeing their decisions shape future modules will especially enjoy these campaigns.

I love it when a player

I love it when a player thinks outside the box and surprises everyone with an unexpected solution. Creative approaches to puzzles, NPC interactions, or combat keep me on my toes and make every session feel unique and memorable.

I think metagaming...

I think metagaming depends on how it’s used. Sometimes it leads to funny moments everyone enjoys, but other times it can break immersion. My goal is to keep the game fun and fair while encouraging players to stay in character and respect the story.

I think min/maxing...

I think min/maxing can be fun and challenging as a GM. Balancing encounters for optimized characters pushes me to design creative situations that highlight their strengths while still keeping the adventure exciting and meaningful for the whole party.
