About Eric
I am a man who fell in love with the fantasy of imagination. I grew to have a love of tabletop role playing games by listening to actual play podcasts and playing rpg video games. I came to start being a DM because I wanted to play with my friends who had no experience. I found a love of being a DM watching them getting hooked into the story and the action of the fights and it spurred me to be more creative with my encounter creation.

I became a GM because
I wanted to be able to play dungeons and dragons and knew nobody who would run games. I joined some startplaying games to learn how to play and then started dming for my friends. Now I want to be able to be that teacher or facilitator for other players to come!
How Eric runs games
I love tactical, high stakes combat. I like to try to create puzzles into boss fights and make them more than a one round easy fight. I do enjoy a moderate amount of role play to create characters and towns that come to life. I am by profession a teacher so I enjoy helping new players learn the ropes while trying to create encounters that experienced players would also love. I have found many inspirations on how to be a sensational play by post GM through other Gm such as Kenny and Dr. Nah.

Getting an idea of the main points of adventure. add npc to tupperbox for role playing, prepare maps for seamless addition to be used with Avrae.
Rules are...
designed to set the framework for everyone to be able to operate. Sometimes rules can be bent to allow for cool things to happen, but it cannot be done at the cost of everybody else’s experience. Also if it bends for the player, it will also bend for the monsters!
Eric's ideal table
My table is relaxed with a decent pace. Players who like to have fun and enjoy the ride will fit well at my table. I like to allow my players to explore the downtime in the city on their own, but make decisions together as a team as they venture out. Players who give others a chance to shine but also take their turn in the spotlight will fit right in.

I love it when a player
takes a risk either in role playing or combat and is willing to take the outcome. Those big swings can lead to some of the highest highs or biggest heartbreak. Those are the memories you remember after a campaign.
I think metagaming...
has its place and can be fun, but let’s not it overrule the in game experience. Lets squeeze the most out of our characters while still enjoying where the narrative takes us!
