About Robert
Hello there, my name is Robert. I became a DM in 2018 for a group of coworkers after being inspired by Stranger Things and playing at my local comic shop. From there I started to DM online for long distance friends. This whole time building my own world with its own stories to tell. Different monsters, Gods, and a place where everyone could tell a story. So, let me show you what's possible is this dark and mysterious world.

I became a GM because
I find running games to be therapeutic not just for myself but for my players. A place to be someone else, to be free from your mortal coil for a short time and write your own amazing story.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Helping my community or trying new things. I run a museum for a non-profit Veterans post as well as run events for them. During the year I also help a non-profit, sensory and disability friendly haunted house. Otherwise, I'm out at concerts or trying new and interesting restaurants.
How Robert runs games
As a DM I pride myself on creating an experience that is different and unique via homebrew and "House Rules". Every player should feel included and thus that helps build a more connected story. A story that I like to fill with deep political intrigue, layered combat, and intricate relationships. Upon session zero with a group, homebrew and "House Rules" will be explained and altered depending on the groups wants. (Within reason.) When it comes to political intrigue in my game, everyone wants something. This creates endless RP scenarios where players can work their way into complex government systems and maybe even find themselves with political sway that shapes the world. Combat in my world is built to fell gritty and rough. Enemies will strategize and bargain, they might even behave differently from other games you have played. And the best part in my opinion, world building. Players will be offered the ability to own businesses, houses, and add to their lives. This is because there is more to the life of an adventurer then combat and woe.

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
Christopher Nolen and written by Stephen King.
Rules are...
In the words of Captain Barbossa: "The Code is more what you'd call 'guidelines' than actual rules." While they have their place, hey also can be bent to fit the group and game.
Robert's ideal table
If you love to world build, be challenged by complicated interactions, and experience homebrewed creatures. You are in the right place. My ideal table is 5-6 players who start as strangers and by the end normally become family. Tested and pushed to work together both at and away from the table. You are welcomed and drama isn't. We are here to have fun and make memories.

I love it when a player
Goes out of their way to make an interaction or battle memorable. Thinking out of the box and pushing what their character would really do in that situation.
My table is not the place for...
Drama or political talk about the real world. It only causes issues.
