About Maria

I have played DnD since 2017, having played and ran many games with varied themes and settings. I have a strong handle with not only DnD 5e/5.5e I also have GMed a multitupe of other systems as well. I enjoy vast and deep worldbuilding, and take great care to wave any players backstory into the world. I see combat, roleplay, and exploration as important parts of a good game. I use roll20, but can use talespire if a group wishes. Experienced players, first time players, and anyone in-between are welcomed. I am more then happy teaching anyone to play. I also ensure all my games are inclusive and welcoming to all people.

Not sure it is actually my favorite system of all time, but when I first tried Root I was amazed by how well suited it was for my kind of improv. I have run the system for my friends quite a few times and each time I have had only a few hours of prep max and it has always been a good time

How Maria runs games

I often run high roleplaying games, but mostly due to my player's preference. I also enjoy tactical combat and spend time to make combat encounters dynamic and interesting. The types of storys I often tell are multi arc over arching narratives. player backstories are incorporated into the story to make the narrative feel more personnel to the characters. I mostly play by the rules, but I am no stranger to using the rule of cool. I also accept most homebrew upon review.
