About Anna

Hi, I’m Anna — a storyteller at heart and a Dungeon Master with 5 years of experience crafting immersive worlds and unforgettable characters. My tables are welcoming, collaborative, and focused on weaving personal stories into epic adventures. I run Dungeons & Dragons 5e campaigns for adults, whether you’re brand new to the game or a seasoned adventurer. Rules are there to support the story, not get in the way of it. Expect plenty of homebrew magic items, monsters, and NPCs that make each campaign feel alive and unique.

I became a GM because

I love stories in all forms—reading them, hearing them, sharing them. But I realised I’d never enjoy writing a book, for example, because a story fully under my control loses its spark. As a GM, though, I get both: the joy of creating worlds and the thrill of unexpected twists from players <3

When I'm not running games I'm...

playing with stories and characters in real life—posing or shooting art photography, crafting costumes, LARPing, diving into psychology, coaching, getting lost in books, or leveling up in video games.

How Anna runs games

My games are built around complex, layered stories that unfold over time. I plant seeds early that blossom later, so attention to detail is often rewarded. For me, tabletop RPGs are about collaborative storytelling — the choices you make matter, and the story grows from your characters, not the other way around. You’ll never hit an “invisible wall” at my table. Wherever you decide to go, there will be a world waiting — full of possibilities, consequences, and opportunities for adventure. I especially enjoy watching characters develop and change: not just gaining levels, but growing as personalities, facing challenges that shape them emotionally and psychologically. Expect plenty of roleplay, moral choices, and moments that tug at the heart as well as challenge the mind.

doing lots of reading, finding beautiful art, music, creating maps, elaborating different layers of plot, NPCs and PC's personal stories.

Anna's ideal table

At my table, there’s room for the full range of emotions—tense drama, heavy themes, heartfelt roleplay, and moments of humor or silliness. I trust the group to follow the natural flow of the story, respecting each other’s moments and knowing when it’s time to be serious or lighthearted. I especially love when players roleplay with NPCs and with each other, because that’s where characters truly grow. Creativity is always welcome—if the rules don’t cover something, I’ll make a ruling, because in my games “unregulated” doesn’t mean “impossible.” Unexpected ideas and clever solutions are what delight me most. Combat can happen, but it’s never the main goal—it’s just one of many ways to move the story forward, and avoiding it is always an option if you can. Rules experts are also welcome at my table—so long as we’re on the same team. I don’t see the game as GM versus players, but as a collaborative effort where we’re all pulling in the same direction. If you want to help with mechanics, great. But if you’re here to argue with the GM just to ‘win,’ this isn’t the table for you. The vibe I aim for is collaborative, respectful, and flexible. I’m good at facilitating and resolving conflicts, I actively listen to my players, and I try to balance everyone’s wants and needs so the game feels fun and rewarding for the whole table.
