About Angel of Terror - Scotty
I’ve been a Dungeon Master since the mid-90s, when I first discovered my love for tabletop role-playing games. What began as a hobby quickly became a lifelong passion, and I’ve been the “forever DM” for countless campaigns ever since. My games are built on immersive roleplay, where players have the freedom to develop their characters and shape the world around them. Every action has consequences—both good and bad—allowing players to see the tangible effects of their decisions within the game. My campaigns are known for their longevity, with some spanning years. My current in-person group has been meeting weekly for over 8 years, a testament to the engaging and personalized storytelling I strive to provide. I also take great joy in welcoming new players to the hobby, patiently teaching them the mechanics and creativity of role-playing. I run my games via Zoom, blending the flexibility of online play with my old-school, in-person DM experience. By reading player cues and adapting to their needs, I ensure everyone is engaged and their story expectations are met. My focus is on crafting a collaborative narrative where your character’s journey takes center stage.

How Angel of Terror - Scotty runs games
My GM style is rooted in collaborative storytelling and immersive roleplay, where players are encouraged to develop their characters and shape the world around them. In my games, every choice carries weight, and actions lead to meaningful consequences, both good and bad, allowing players to see the direct impact of their decisions on the story and the world. Roleplay takes center stage, but combat is far from secondary. In my games, combat matters because of the story. Every battle has a purpose, whether advancing the plot, deepening character development, or creating pivotal moments that define the campaign. I ensure that combat feels engaging and significant, never just a mechanical distraction but an integral part of the players’ journey. I focus on creating a space where creativity thrives and every player feels valued. By reading players’ cues and responding dynamically, I ensure everyone is engaged and their story needs are met. My goal is to craft adventures where roleplay and combat blend seamlessly, creating memorable experiences where your story takes center stage.

My games focus on...
My games focus on character-driven storytelling. I put characters first—using their backstories, choices, and consequences to shape the world around them. Every decision matters, and the story grows organically from the players' actions, making each campaign a personal, evolving experience.
Angel of Terror - Scotty's ideal table
My table is all about story and character. If you like games where your choices matter and your backstory actually shows up in the world, you’ll fit right in. I like giving players room to explore, grow, and build the world around them with their own ideas. I keep things moving, but I always make time for good roleplay. The vibe at my table is focused but relaxed. We take the game seriously, but we’re not trying to win D&D. We’re here to tell a story together, one that’s shaped by your character and the decisions you make along the way. If you care more about the journey than just the mechanics, this is probably the table for you.
