Favorite books is a tough one, as I've just started reading again fairly recently. As a kid my answer would've been Percy Jackson, no question, but recently the Stormlight Archive series, Dungeon Crawler Carl series, and He Who Fights the Monsters series have been bouncing from my #1 spot.
How John runs games
I enjoy both roleplaying and combat, and my games will be fairly balanced with the two. Rule of Cool is very present within my games.

When it comes to voices
Listen I'm not gonna lie and say I'm fantastic with voices, although I've gotten pretty good with an Irish accent. I will actively be practicing new voices, trying my best to bring them to my table.

My ideal table is balanced between heartwrenching roleplay and good, well timed jokes. I love when players or myself get really into our characters, but if we're not also having fun with it, what's the point?

I think metagaming...
Metagaming is a mistake a lot of players make without even realizing it. It's definitely something that needs to be addressed, but people can easily overcome it and become better players from their experience.
