About Adrian

I have been playing RPGs for over 30 years and for a significant chunk of that period, I have been a forever-GM. But, it's not a label I wear begrudgingly. I genuinely enjoy that so many people enjoy my style of running games. I've decided to take my skills to this platform and see if others enjoy playing games with me as much as my friends and family. By trade, I've worked as a software developer and a stage actor. I have no qualms working with tech or in doing fun voices or active role-playing. I've used all of the major players in online RPGs and currently enjoy running games in Foundry (although this is not a requirement if you have something else you prefer). My primary experience is in D&D but I am not married to the system if you have a desire to play something else. I would love to try running something in Shadowdark, Daggerheart, Draw Steel, or Pathfinder 2E. I hope to get to know you and your group soon!

When I'm not running games I'm...

Acting! I am a theater enjoyer and have acted on stage in at least 30 shows over the past eight years.

How Adrian runs games

I enjoy role-playing and doing goofy voices. (It's probably my acting background at work!) However, I don't simply want to do solo play at the table; I firmly believe players are the focus and should drive the narrative. I like games with a good mixture of role-playing, combat, and social encounters. I'm just as happy having you try to convince the king to ally with his sworn enemy against a greater foe as I am designing a fantastic battlefield for you to face off against a demon lord.

Adrian's ideal table

Players who fit well at my table include those who are willing to learn and who seek first and foremost to have fun. I prefer groups that like to work together, rather than a bunch of lone =-wolf types who think they are all the main character. I believe the best storytelling is collaborative, so I frequently engage all players. I try to make sure that players who are quiet don't get drowned out by the louder voices. My favorite thing to do in a scene is, once someone has decided on a course of action, to also ask other players what their characters are doing so that the whole party can be involved.
