About me

Hello, aspiring Adventurers! Stories and storytelling has been a major part of my life since I was a child. I love building a story alongside others, helping guide them through a shared narrative adventure! For me it's not about the endpoint, but rather the exciting journey that we embark upon together. Outside of nerdy RPG endeavors, I'm an avid outdoors person and have lived, worked and taught in nature for much of my adult life. I've worked in adventure summer camps, helped build new trails in the wilderness, and have gone several months in a row living in the trees away from civilization. These days, I'm an aspiring full-time Pro GM! I've been at it for half a year or so, and have greatly enjoyed the experience of meeting people from all experience levels and having a fun time narrating their adventures.

GM style

My focus as a Game Master is always the players first, and ensuring they feel safe and comfortable as well as connected to the story. I enjoy a great story more than any idea of someone 'winning' - for me, success is seeing players delight at exploring a shared, collaboratively built world, one they can't wait to continue learning more about. I am very much a "Rule of Cool" kind of GM, and celebrate creative, out-of the box thinking. I tend not to play crunchy, by-the-numbers combat, but instead narrate combat in a compelling, exciting way, giving agency to players to decide how their characters proceed (so long as they roll the dice first!). When you join me as a player, I want to be your cheerleader, and I'm excited to be there to guide you through epic, unique landscapes full of interesting places and peoples!
