So I have been playing D&D for a long while. I used to own the majority of the 2nd edition collection! I mastered knowledge of the Forgotten Realms and even pressed to play games in other areas beyond the Sword Coast! Some of my best games were played those in areas knowns as Hillsfar, Moonsea, Arabel, Suzail, and Damara! Currently I have settled into creating my own world and having many play in it. However, I am very comfortable runnning an adventure that is published. Take note! My experience in DMing is vastly better over real table tops. My experience as a virtual DM on Roll20 is passable. Not perfect! As of yet! But, I am learning and always seeking to improve! So reach out if you want a DM who listens and seeks a challenge just as much as you do! All is welcome!

I got started GMing...

Very embarrassing but true - As a young kid who played with stuffed animals. I made characters for them and then DMed the game as myself. This taught me how to play and understand the concept of role playing various characters.

How Damian runs games

I play in all forms of environments for game play; diversification is a specialty. It starts with a before game conversation of our themes and questions of expectancy with all players (including children if a family situation arrises). We always choose a theme based campaign, via "pirates", "adventuring company", "mercenaries", and so on. Players are given a little bit of homework to create a background for their character and have it ready for session 0. After all questions answered, there is a "session 0" where characters are rolled. Real Dice is possible provided a webcam can be dedicated to the dice tray or bluetooth dice are used! Roll20 is my table of choice and I grow better and better constantly to give a cinematic experience to the players! We play the campaign until the party either dies or the campaign draws to a conclusion that is rewarding and satisfying but most importantly memorable! Without sounding egotisical, I call myseIf the "probing Dm". I fish for things that seem to capture the players interest and then play off them. Amittedly, it starts off the game in a semi-mediocre to maybe even a bit boring capacity. BUT, once there is a bite, my games soar into something epic and memorable! The mix of great story telling, character and NPC driven arcs, and blended in combat with a balance culminates into an epic, emotional, thrilling, and never forgotten adventure! You want a DM that builds for you? You found him!

I once ran a session...

the players found a wizard they assumed to be dead, robbed him of this belongings, and destroyed his Stone Golem. When he showed up to collect the party went on to kill his daughter and have his son hanged for treason. This erupted into a seasaw war between the wizard and party. Ask how they lost.

My games focus on...

it all! Intrigue, heavy role play, immersive story telling, action, horror, humor, fun group bonding, giving everyone many moments in the spot light, an emotional roller coaster with a satisying ending whether the players come out on top or not!

Rules are...

guides for us to abide by. We bend and break the rules only when a modification of a rule is necessary to fit an event, circumstance, or plotted adventure encounter. When all else fails the latest book as written makes the ruling.
