About Me: Hi. I'm a 37 y/o DM with over 30 years experience playing role playing games. Yes, you read that right. I've been hooked on playing since my older brother ran a one shot for me when I was just five years old. From about 10 years old and onward my friends and I would play every Friday afternoon that we could all through middle and high school. After that I kept playing and gaming has been a lifelong pursuit. On non-game related notes, I'm a biologist and a sci-fi/fantasy geek. I know my head-shot is terrible and I really hope you'll look past it. About me as a DM: All adventures that I'll be running here will be set in my original world of Fermanagh. I'm big on exploring a character's personality and background which lends itself to lengthy campaigns rather than short one shots. All adventures are considered canon in my world as this helps to build the world's lore. Speaking of lore, there is quite a bit, and while it can help to solve puzzles and explain phenomenon, it isn't an absolute necessity to memorize. If you're like me and love to get into the lore however, I think you'll really enjoy the nuance. Games are played on a weekly basis and since they are often character driven, we'll skip a week if anybody can't make it. I will respect your need for a mental health break, and if you can't make it then it's no questions asks. That said, if somebody needs to fully drop out of the adventure, we'll keep the game going as long as players want to keep going. All my adventures are completely 100% LGBTQ2+friendly. I'm a transgender DM, and I want to keep my games a safe place for people like me. I have a zero tolerance policy towards homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, racism, or anything else that perpetuates intolerance. If you are looking to explore a character concept while playing within a interesting and complex story, then I may be the right DM for you.
