About TK

Through the mists appears a mysterious stranger! You see a thick beard and a cloak...could it be the Archmagi? Nope, you just failed your perception check. I'm TK and hopefully your next Game Master! I've been involved in TTRPG's for over 15 years and writing immersive and collaborative stories with humans is my favorite thing in life. A few systems I enjoy are D&D, Mork Borg, Daggerheart and Blades in the Dark. I'm driven by a strong set of core values - equity, inclusion and solidarity among them. It's important that folks feel seen, heard and respected at my table. What can you expect in my games? Dramatic storytelling, exciting gameplay and inclusive improvisation. There will be worldbuilding, deep lore and mysteries abound. If I'm not running a game, I'm writing - including custom tailored content. I'm a wargamer by background and my games are stuffed with dynamic battlemaps. If I was a D&D class - I'd be a warlock; I love the occult, horror and paganism. So hop on board and we'll see where the dice lead. Maybe at the end it's all about the friends we make, anyways!

How TK runs games

I run high fantasy, gritty and exciting games. Most dark themes are on the table - from eldritch horrors to political intrigue. My homebrew world of Runfell incorporates elements of Gaelic and Nordic mythologies into a culturally diverse world where the gods have become mortals. My writing is heavily inspired by fantasy series such as Malazan Book of the Fallen, Lies of Locke Lamora and Wheel of Time. I enjoy researching ancient occultism, mythology and theology. In game I frequently incorporate visuals and maps. I like to keep players immersed with artwork along with custom playlists. Typically, I run moderate roleplaying games - replete with difficult choices and moral quandaries. Expect a good dose of exploration, lore and combat to go along with it. Every good drama is punctuated with some lighthearted moments as well.

When it comes to voices

I do my best! Which means everyone turns part Irish/Australian eventually.

TK's ideal table

My tables are energetic and fun! The best types of players are engaged and creative. I like building playgrounds for folks to shine - whether it's uncovering mysteries, vanquishing foes or worldbuilding right along with me.

I think min/maxing...

is fine, provided it doesn't take from other players enjoyment.
