    About the adventure

In 1979, Lawrence Schick included an adventure in his resume submitted to then-publisher of D&D TSR. The adventure concerned a mad wizard who had stolen three incredibly powerful magic items and hidden them behind a maze of puzzles and monsters in his volcano lair. The adventure was over-the-top and self-admittedly borrowed a lot from older modules, and yet it was so good that TSR hired Schick and published it, unedited. That adventure, White Plume Mountain, stands today as one of the finest modules ever written, ranked 9th of all time in 2004. Now updated for 5th edition it falls to you, the next generation of adventurers, to brave the trials of White Plume Mountain, defeat the evil Keraptis, and reclaim the most powerful weapons in the world or die trying.
