About the adventure
The Sword Coast is ablaze with rumors! Three days ago, on the 20th day of Kythorn, the Summer Solstice, a gigantic, flaming sword appeared outside the city of Waterdeep. It is said such a sword appeared last year, for only a short period of time, outside of far-away Port Nyanzaru in Chult, but it is hard to know if this is indeed the same phenomenon. Some brave souls who approached the massive sword were whisked away, no one knows where to. The list of willing adventurers grows thin. Are you, and your friends, perhaps, brave enough?

How to prepare
You'll need a Roll20 account (free), and we'll be using my Discord server to communicate (free download). Webcam not required, but mic is! I'll send you a little intro blurb before we get started to set the party up for session 1!
What I provide
Roll20 Pro, fully unlocked DnDBeyond, Discord server.
Gameplay details
This adventure is a series of mysterious encounters, where you and your party will have to unravel the mysteries of each unique challenge on the fly. Then outsmart, outmaneuver, and outfight rival adventurers (NPCs controlled by the DM) to prove your mettle and emerge alive and victorious! There will be combat, but fighting skill is far from all that is needed to win! This format is meant to be approachable for relatively new players while still being interesting for veteran players who would like to game on Saturday days!

How will character creation work
If you know how, please have a 1st level character ready! You can use any of the official source materials, and once you've been accepted into the game, I'll give you access to the campaign in my DnDBeyond, with access to all the materials! We'll use Standard Array (15,14,13,12,10,8) for stats, but feel free to use the rules from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything to mix and match your racial modifiers as you see fit! If we get players who've never made a character before, I'll spend a little bit of time to go over the basics and help you create a character for our first game!
