Waterdeep: Dragon Heist + Dungeon of the Mad Mage

About the adventure

Explore Waterdeep and dive deep into its politics and intrigue, and the mysterious dungeons beneath. Will you involve yourself in local politics? Put down roots? Start a business? Join a faction and work in secret to further their goals in the city? In this adventure, you and I will work together with the rest of our storytelling team to tell a story unique to our experience. Your character will be woven into the story with some of my own creative flair. If there is anything you want to do, let me know and we will make it happen. I have created some homebrew mechanics to make foraging, cooking and other things more interesting and these are available to you if you should want them. This adventure will take you from level 1 to 20 with lots of unique twists and turns added by your DM to customize your experience to your character.

How to prepare

You will not need a webcam but a good mic will be necessary. Foundry VTT works best on Chrome and you may use the Beyond20 Chrome extension if you like, but it is not necessary. I will send you a link to my Discord server so you and your team mates can get to know each other. You may use your own dice if you like or the provided virtual dice rollers.

What I provide

Everything necessary for the campaign will be provided including the virtual table top and books on DnDBeyond as well as some lore summaries I put together myself that you may find useful. You may use your own dice or the online dice roller.

Gameplay details

We will explore our boundaries at Session 0 and revisit them throughout the campaign to ensure everyone has an enjoyable and safe experience. All of my games are strictly PG13 or less and I do not permit roleplay of rape, child abuse or detailed sexual encounters. I utilize the X card.

How will character creation work

Characters can be created on DnDBeyond prior to the start of the game and we will review characters and flesh out backstories at session 0. We will use standard array. All official races and classes. Customizations per Tasha's must be approved by the Dungeon Master. Evil characters may be permitted after discussion of boundaries and agreement by the group. I will provide you with access to my Discord server as soon as you sign up so we can begin discussing these things right away.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
