About the adventure

"The key to rebirth is through suffering.." -Unknown The planes are in danger. An unknown arcane has begun to seep into the world. The largest city on the continent of Chartifae has been sealed from the rest of the world. The nations of Chartifae are beginning to prepare for war, spurred to anger by an unknown force. Whispers of a being that rivals the gods have begun to spread. Cults are popping up all over the continent, wielding mysterious powers and threatening to dismantle the clergies to the gods. Your group of adventurers has been hired by the secretive League of the Scroll to investigate Khare, the largest city of mortals. Begin your adventure in this city, sealed off from the world, and traverse the continent to unravel the mysteries surrounding these events. After signing up we will have a free session 0 to establish characters, backstories, and your introduction into the world.

Additional Details

How to prepare

You'll need discord and roll20 to be able to play. A working mic, a webcam is optional. Try to have an idea of your character, so that we can smoothly get it made. Premade characters will be accepted, but we will have to do stat rolling in roll20.

What I provide

Once we get playing and you are comfortable with your characters, I will be having character arts done up for them, which you can keep. I will also have hand drawn maps, NPC portraits, and scenes from the campaign. The cover art is an example of the art style that one of the artists use

Gameplay details

The goal of this campaign is to tell a story, continuing the story with each session. My goal will be to have at least one combat per session. However, combat won't be forced into a situation. Meaning, a session could be spent just doing RP and having fun as your characters. But, on the same hand, an entire session could, potentially, be spent fighting one massive encounter. I will do my best to ensure that there is a healthy mix of both though

How will character creation work

Your characters will be starting at level one. When you sign up for the campaign, I will be having a free session 0 to make characters, back stories, and to introduce you and your characters into the world of Xypharan

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
