The Toymaker's Gift: A Winter Holiday One Shot All Ages

About the adventure

The Toymaker’s Gift is an adventure for a party for 3rd level adventurers. The Midwinter Scavenger Hunt was a celebration of charity hosted by the beloved toymaker, Eldon Thrame. On Midwinter’s Eve, Eldon hid toys in the Carmine Wood. The next morning, children would search the woods and keep any toys they found. Unfortunately the beloved toymaker died 5 years ago. This is the first time Eldon’s children will host the event since his death all those years ago. But all is not as it seems this year. Can the adventurers help the village and save the Midwinter Scavenger Hunt? This adventure will include cold temperatures. Opportunities for roleplay and combat. Trigger warning for violence against children.

How to prepare

We will use audio mics. Please create your lvl 3 character on DND Beyond ahead of time, with art. Make an account on the Forge to access the VTT. If you use Google Chrome, there is an extension called "Beyond 20" that will allow you to roll from your DnD Beyond character sheet and have those roles show up in the Forge. If you wish to use this, please download Beyond 20 before session 1. I will also provide a link to my discord server.

What I provide

Quality maps, 3D dice, ambiance music and sounds, DnD Beyond premium content, some quirky voiced NPC's and a thirst for fun! All these things will be virtual! Virtual tokens are made based off of the art you set on your DnD Beyond sheet. I will import your sheet from DND Beyond into the Forge before the session.

Gameplay details

We will be having a session 0 in order to get everyone on the same page as far as characters, using the Forge, homebrew rules, safety tools, etc. RPG Consent checklist will be sent out before we play. Character creation is rules as written, Point Buy according to Wizards of the Coast. All official WotC content is fair game. No homebrew or unofficial content for character creation.

How will character creation work

Use Dnd Beyond to create your character sheets. Use point buy to set the ability scores. It is mandatory to create your character before the session. Please set the art for your characters as I will be using your chosen art from DND Beyond to make your character token on the Forge. I will provide the DnD Beyond link to this game in order to share my purchased content with you. Then you will be able to use my purchased content to create your character if you wish.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
