About the adventure
This adventure concerns a once-proud fortress that fell into the earth in an age long past. Now known as the Sunless Citadel, its echoing, broken halls house malign creatures. Evil has taken root at the citadel's core, which is deep within a subterranean garden of blighted foliage. With the previous inhabitants long dispersed, vile and opportunistic creatures common to lightless dungeons infested the subterranean ruins. The known goblin tribe infesting the ruins sells a single piece of magical fruit to the highest bidder in the village of Oakhurst once every midsummer. Worse yet, another party of adventurers, locally based, delved into the Sunless Citadel a month past to solve the mystery of the fruit’s origin. They were never seen again. The citizens of Oakhurst have made a call for adventurers to solve this mystery. Are you up for the challenge? The Sunless Citadel is a beginner mini-adventure. This is an adventure for 3-5 1st level characters, which, if they don't die, will progress them to level 3 by the end. This is a longer adventure, usually lasting two sessions (Part 1 and Part 2). Both sessions are drop in and drop out so there is no need to attend one before the other. If you miss the first part of the adventure, I give a recap. I use tabletop simulator for the games visuals, which I stream to zoom for players to make choices for their characters. I also use DnD Beyond, so having an account is helpful, but not entirely necessary as long as you have a way to print character sheets. 1st level characters should be made before the event. Message me for questions about character creation before the meeting (preferably 24 hours beforehand). I have premade characters, if you want to get out of your comfort zone and try something new, though you can bring your own characters, at 3rd level or below.
