You also need to prepare your character sheet on Roll20, the DM will happily help you out with that part. Also, please bring a picture or an image that represents your character please. What I provide
Since our sessions are online, I shall bring my DM skills, maps, creativity, music, NPCs, and adventures!
What else should you know
Since our sessions are online, everyone needs to show patience and allow others to speak when it is their turn. It might be a bit tricky in the beginning, however, once the table knows one another, it's easy to pick up on when to speak or not, even online!
A typical session would look somewhat like the following: - DM and players meet up in voice chat on Discord, and launch the respective Roll20 room. Everyone are expected to meet up on time and to respect the start time, so that things will not have to be repeated. - DM will ask everyone if they have and pre-session questions. Once they are out of the way, the DM will recap or set the scene for what will go down in the session. - Once the recap is over, the DM opens up for the players input and encourages roleplay from all players at the table. Doing voices is encouraged when talking in-character. Exploration, social, and combat happens sessions go along, depending on players input to the adventure at hand. - There will be a 10 to 15 minute break about half way into the session. - Once the session is concluded, the DM is available to answer any questions players might have that did not get addressed in session.
