About the adventure

Nestled between the coast of Neverwinter and Waterdeep, on the Sword Coast, is Saltmarsh, a sleepy fishing town that sits on the precipice of destruction! Smugglers guide their ships to hidden coves, willing to slit the throat of anyone foolhardy enough to cross their path. Cruel sahuagin gather beneath the waves, plotting to sweep away coastal cities. Drowned sailors stir to unnatural life, animated by dark magic and sent forth in search of revenge. The cult of a forbidden god extends its reach outward from a decaying port, hungry for fresh victims and willing recruits. While Saltmarsh slumbers, the evils that seek to plunder it grow stronger. Heroes must arise to keep the waves safe!

Gameplay details

A typical session would look somewhat like the following: - DM and players meet up in voice chat on Discord, and launch the respective Roll20 room. Everyone are expected to meet up on time and to respect the start time, so that things will not have to be repeated. - DM will ask everyone if they have and pre-session questions. Once they are out of the way, the DM will recap or set the scene for what will go down in the session. - Once the recap is over, the DM opens up for the players input and encourages roleplay from all players at the table. Doing voices is encouraged when talking in-character. Exploration, social, and combat happens sessions go along, depending on players input to the adventure at hand. - There will be a 10 to 15 minute break about half way into the session. - Once the session is concluded, the DM is available to answer any questions players might have that did not get addressed in session.
