About the adventure

His name has always been said in whispered tones, when said at all. They say the mere mention of his name will bring curses and hexes long forgotten down upon you. And it is for this reason those that mention him dare not use his full name. . . But instead must call him by his title: The Whispered One. Every planet in every system has felt the effect of *Vecna*; from the planet of Toril and the continent of Faerun, across the reaches of the Astral Sea, to the planets of Krynn and Eberron floating in the miasma of existence that we ignorantly call 'The Multiverse'. All places have their own stories and myths about the rise to power of the God of Secrets, but few have ever realized just how far reaching his influence is. And even fewer have realized just how greedy and ambitious The Whispered One is, and how far He is willing to go to get what he wants. As The Whispered One tugs at the threads of existence that spread across the multiverse, the untangling of the weave gets less clandestine, allowing the heroes and legendary mages of the different worlds to grab one of these threads and follow it. Our story starts on the planet of Toril, in the city of Neverwinter, where one of these threads dangles a bit too low allowing it to be grabbed and investigated by one Dagult Neverember. As the plans of The Whispered One come to fruition, the party gets hired and invited to the estate of Neverember to discuss to what end this thread of forbidden knowledge leads.

How to prepare

All you need to join is a computer with reliable internet, a mic, headphones, and accounts on both roll20 & discord. Other than that there's no preparation needed!

What I provide

Hey all! And welcome to the greater universe of Dungeons and Dragons! If you've ever wanted to try out the themes of other worlds and settings in Dungeons and Dragons lore but either don't like any of the other games, can't find a game, or didn't want to have an entire campaign in one setting, then your journey is over as this is the game for you! This campaign is unique, as it has whole story arcs set in many different worlds and settings. The story starts in the well known world of the Forgotten Realms, and goes to the worlds of Spelljammer, Eberron, Krynn and the Dragonlance setting, the Mists in the Domains of Dread, and the world where the God of Secrets was born into mortal flesh... The world of Oerth.

Gameplay details

For safety tools there won't be any formal documents, but I'll definitely make it known at session zero that if anyone has anything they're uncomfortable with that they can either tell me now, out of the call in my messages, or just when it happens in the session. I'm also a pretty laid back person so if you need to take a break during the session you absolutely can. And we'll take one break in the middle of the session, and then I'll almost always hang out in the call after the game for another 10 or so minutes to talk about whatever went on in the session, or anything else that may come up.

How will character creation work

Character creation will take place during a free session zero that we have before the start of our first session. During the session zero we'll roll for stats, and if you don't like your stats you can then go standard array or point buy. You will also be allowed to roll for health, or take average, and if you choose to roll and roll a one you can reroll. As far as what sourcebooks and things you can use, anything that's official material, or from kobold press, is definitely on the table. As far as any other third party sources or homebrew, it's almost definitely fine! I'd just have to take a look at it to make sure it's not too OP.
