About the adventure
This is a home-brew adventure in my own setting heavily inspired by Beowulf, but more on the scale of The Black Cauldron. I like to think of it as a more open, free-form setting. If you love the idea of starting off as part of a small community and having a humble origin, this is definitely that. You will be investigating dark secrets of the past, killing monsters and being part of a living and changing world. Starting as an assistant pig keeper is optional. This is a one-shot, but if people are interested we could talk about it becoming a full campaign.

How to prepare
You will need a mic and stable internet. Game will be run with Discord for voice chat, and Foundry VTT as the tabletop. I can convert from D&D Beyond to Foundry VTT before the game starts. All you need for the virtual table top is a browser, I will publish the URL to connect to along with campaign password via message media of your choice prior to the game. If we don't in the days before the game starts, just show up early and we'll get everything done.
What I provide
All sourcebooks on D&D Beyond available for your use creating characters.
Gameplay details
This is a family-friendly game, so long as strong themes of undead and frequent eruptions of violence are okay in your family. I run an inclusive game.

How will character creation work
Create a first level character on D&D Beyond. Point Buy or Standard Array, and fixed hit points. Message me on Discord for a campaign link and I have all the content. Create before the game and send me the link. I'm looking for characters who are part of a small mountain community. Common races would be Human, Halfling, Half-Elf, Half-Orc (known as Trollkin), and Elf. Anything else talk to me about how it could fit in. Half-Elf or Elf is likely a foundling raised in the predominantly Human village. Culturally Halflings are considered Human and do not have a separate language. Make the character you want to play, I will work with you to make sure they fit into the setting.
