The Gladiator's Arena!!!!

About the adventure

Welcome travelers! The name is Glad and this is my arena! You have been chosen to be gladiators here today! whoever of you ends up living shall go on to have a shot at me but know it wont be easy heh! You will fight some of my top gladiators from the years and some of the mighty beasts Ive bested and captured! I would wish you luck but its more fun to see you run for your lives within the arena! - Hi I'm N and here's a better less in character explanation of the game - there will be 4 rounds (maybe) each round will be the party (that's you) vs either some beasts or gladiators in an arena - simple enough right? well here's the kicker - you don't get your normal starting gear instead you get ~ - a) a simple weapon b) a martial weapon c) an arcane focus - a) leather armor b) a shield - 1 healing potion (2d4+4 healing) - if you choose a ranged weapon you get 20 bits of ammo - So there ya go some what i think is decent gear for everyone for what i can convince Glad over there to give ya! Also your starting at level 5 and here's the rest of the character creation crunchy bits - Level 5 - Point Buy / Standard Array for stats - Max at 1st then rolled for health each level - all feats are allowed - multi-classing is allowed - for this game no home-brew races as in nothing from Pintrest or Reddit or the homebrew wiki but UA and any other official books are allowed - Ok so there's that now let me give you a bit more just kinda closer info, Between rounds you will get a magic item, an option to give an existing item either a +1 bonus (yes these can stack) or upgrade it to a new tier for example leather armor - chain mail/Breastplate - Plate or just swap out an item for another mundane item you think would benefit you like swapping out a long sword for a great sword if you realize you want to get the higher damage and just give a +1 to your armor to compensate for the no more use of the shield. These interlude periods I am going to give a timer of at max 15 min sense they're mainly just swapping out items and such. OH! yes those magic items - so no you cant go say "I want the hand of Vecna" sorry that's not happening but I have a few items made up for you and they're on a few tables and I think they're some cool useful and non-useful items that can be used in creative ways! Also I am giving you all 1 inspiration to start us off - I am so excited to see what kinda tom-foolery we can create in this gladiator Arena! best of luck players!

How to prepare

You only need a few this for this - please read the ad and stuff fully it'll give you a good idea of what to expect - please come with characters ready to go and able to be viewed by me - You need a microphone and some way to hear us, I'm not allowing physical dice sense this is online.

What I provide

I will be bringing the maps, the limited story, and the magic items and stats for everything if anyone afterwards wants the map or anything let me know i will make it and the magic item tables available to you after the game as well as my DM notes (warning they are rough to read if you aren't me)

Gameplay details

There will be breaks between rounds of combat and if for any reason we need to stop and take 5 at some point that is always allowed - believe me I get it, Also on these breaks I will check in and make sure everyone is having a good time and is enjoying themselves. for the X N and O cards I don't run games with video but i do run them in a voice chat with the players for this game - if anyone needs to feel free to cut me off and tell me were in N territory or were in X, I also will have the discord chat up so if at any point you need to just type an X in the chat as as i see it we will stop backpedal and figure out what went wrong and whats good to go for you - This is a game made to be fun and safe not for uncomfy - with this also if ANYONE in the group makes unwelcome advances towards you or something like that please let me know and they will be kicked from the game I have a 0 tolerance policy on hate-speech, homo/trans/other-phobia and if I see or hear of grooming of a minor the police will be contacted I will not have that in my games

How will character creation work

I ask for players to make characters before hand and have them ready to go - I do ask to look over characters before the game just to keep honest people honest - I will provide a Discord link as well as a Roll20 link in the discord - I prefer you make the characters there and we roll via roll20 but i do allow D&D Beyond if it's easier for you but i do ask for either you use the Beyond 20 chrome extension or some other way to share rolls at least every once in a while

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
