About the adventure

Hi! I'm Sean, I write a blog called Power Score RPG. I've written many best-selling products on the DMs Guild, I was under contract to Wizards of the Coast for a time, some of my online games were streamed on the official D&D Twitch channel, and I've been running D&D games for 30 years. I am trying out this platform in part because I want to write about it on my blog. If it goes well, I'll run this game each week and together we'll build a nice little campaign. I'm planning on taking a bunch of DMs Guild adventures and stringing them together, using them to flesh out my campaign world and to write reviews of for my blog. If you sign up, I'll send you a .pdf detailing my campaign world - the gods, the worlds, the major events. I started running campaigns in this home-brewed setting when I was a little kid. All of the gods are former characters. It's entirely possible, if we hit level 20, that your character will be a new permanent god forever in my campaign. In general, my games are laid back - a mix of combat and roleplaying (depending on what the group is interested in). I'm looking to focus a bit less on combat and more on roleplaying. I'd say that if you are hardcore into rules and strategy, this might not be the game for you. I am looking for people who are considerate, let other people talk, and understand that we're all here to have fun. I will be running this on zoom - theater of the mind. I'll set up a D&D Beyond campaign so that you can input your characters through there. I'll probably send you maps and handouts via email when needed. New players are very welcome! We're starting at level 1, so this will be a perfect way to try out D&D!

How to prepare

You'll need a webcam and a mic. Please keep the background noise down and mute yourself when necessary. Try to be familiar enough with your powers and spells that we don't need to stop and check. In particular, spellcasters should make sure they know their spell DC and their spell attack bonus, and be ready to find your spells quickly so the game doesn't grind to a halt. I plan on trying to incorporate your backstory into the game as much as possible. I will send you a .pdf "handbook" for the campaign. In it will be a description of the region, as well as relevant NPCs. You can tie your characters to those entities if it suits you.

How will character creation work

Please create a level one character beforehand. I'll send you a link to the D&D ?Beyond campaign.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
