About the adventure

The world-shattering war ended three years ago. How will you rebuild in a world rising from the ashes? You have joined a group of scavengers to head into the highly dangerous Mournland to locate and extract artifacts from the remains of the ruined nation of Cyre. Your discoveries in this blasted land will pull you into a world-spanning adventure that will take you from levels 1 to 8. The races of Eberron are unique. Your options include playing as a sentient weapon called a Warforged who emerged from the War with a terrifying new awareness, or a Shifter race with werebeast abilities, or a Goblin who built a sophisticated, now-lost ancient empire. All of the familiar options and elements of the world are here as well, but they might surprise you. We will use Eberron: Rising from the Last War for this adventure and you can choose any of the new races. We'll play through the Oracle of War campaign with extras based on the stories and hooks you want to follow! No one came out of the Last War unchanged....let's find out how the choices you made in that dark time will shape the adventure to come.

How to prepare

You'll need a mic. I'll use a webcam--you may also use a webcam if you wish. You'll need a PC to view the maps and images I'll share during the game. We will use Discord for voice, video, sharing images, and rolling dice. I don't let the tech get in the way of the game...so that's it! You might find a DnDBeyond account useful to manage your character but that is not required.

What I provide

I'll provide maps and images to illuminate the game. We'll use a light and fast system for combat--we'll have cinematic battles, but high tactics will not be the focus of this game. Roleplaying doesn't stop when the fight begins! I'll ask you about the flash of your steel, the flip through the air, or the manifestation of your arcane or divine powers for fantastic clashes.

Gameplay details

We will dive right into the story, put the team together, and go! This is a game of about equal parts combat, role play, and exploration. I'll be available in Discord between sessions if you'd like to build your character's backstory or share thoughts and ideas to shape the campaign.

How will character creation work

We will start at level 1 and progress quickly to play several games at level 3 before levelling-up again. I will have pre-generated characters for everyone who joins, or you can work with me before the session to build your own character. Please refer to the "Players Guide to the Oracle of War" for rules to create a character for this special Eberron-set campaign. Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
