About the adventure
Mystery of the Midnight is a Level 3 adventure for D&D 5th Edition based in my own setting. The campaign setting is loosely based on feudal Japan mixed with western fantasy. The entire adventure takes place in the town of Nishiyama after a number of mysterious disappearances in the entertainment district. The Order of the Shining Sun believe that a dangerous spirit called a Yokai is responsible and have summoned you to a tea ceremony to discuss the matter further. From this starting point you can expect a pleasant mix of investigation, roleplay and combat as you discover the backgrounds and links between the victims and whatever or whoever is responsible for the crimes.

We will play through Roll20 using Discord for voice chat.

Gameplay details
There will be some adult themes in this adventure however I make a point of cutting to black or alluding to things rather than directly describing them. I will speak with each player directly and privately about the themes they do not wish to explore and their personal boundaries.

How will character creation work
- This adventure will have characters being level 3 at the start. - I would expect that players arrive to session 1 with a character ready to play. - I will speak with each player before session 1 to answer any questions you may have regarding character creation. - Focus more on character personality that backstory - This is a short 3ish session adventure that will not include character backstories in the plot. - You can either create the character in Roll20 using my compendium or link through your personal D&D Beyond.
