About the adventure

The Tallian Basin has always been ruled by humans. Fraught with instability and inter-warring between factions, the vast Tallian Basin has rarely known peace. Recently, a powerful woman by the name of Ranyra Cascan rose to power, subjugating the entire Basin and surrounding area, a region over 500 thousand square miles in size with well-over 10 million citizens. Many tried to depose Ranyra, but all of them failed. In the end, Ranyra passed away from old age. Ranyra's son Erik, was poised to take the Kingdom of Forden from his mother after her passing, but was undeniably a terrible leader, realishing in the angish of those around him. Some even claimed he had more secretive, sadistic hobbies. Through some mysterious happenings, Ranyra's Cheif Conselor Marcellus Mabat secured the throne for himself, but failed to secure the heir, Erik. Now, with rumors of an army lead by Erik to the west, and increased raids by the bararic Ramians and Merulians to the east, Forden is feeling an encroaching danger all along her boarders. Will you be the heroes that come to Forden's defense or will the Tallian Basin once again be reduced to endless war?

Additional Details

How to prepare

Access to a computer and microphone is required. Webcams are an option for parties that are interested, but certainly not necessary. The more rules that are read the better, but I am willing to work with players that are less familiar or unfamiliar with the rules so long as they show effort in learning the rules over our sessions. Characters will be created by the players before Session One but after Session Zero; it is not expected that you have a character created before I meet we a player for the first time.

What I provide

I will bring the software, maps, and story for the players to partake in. All players will need is an internet connection.

Gameplay details

My campaigns tend to be fairly story-focused. I focus on creating a world around the players and want to work with them to envision a world that they are intruiged by and excited to return to. While story-focused, the story can be shifted depending on the likes of the players, leaving options open for the players to choose which of the three pillars (Combat, Social, and Exploration) they wish to follow. Players should also expect an evironment where they are respected by myself and their fellow players; I will not allow disrespect at my table at any time, virtual or not.

How will character creation work

I allow for the players to decide together what rules they will follow to create their characters. These rules are set in the Session Zero that I conduct free of charge. I generally suggest that the players use standard encumbrance, point-buy, with less experienced players electing for the standard array instead of point-buy, but I leave that up to the players. I am generally available to help players create their characters if needed, but players are expected to have their characters created prior to Session One.
