About the adventure

A group of adventurers has gone missing near the town of Oakhurst. Their family has hired you and their friends to find and rescue them. How is their disappearance connected to the lost fortress they set out to find? What of the enchanted apple sold to the highest bidder each summer solstice by goblins? The answers lie deep, buried in the sunken Sunless Citadel. Designed for character of level 1, and taking them to level 3, The Sunless Citadel is a classic dungeon module updated for D&D Fifth Edition. A fantastic introduction to Dungeon and Dragons, it combines an intriguing mystery, interesting characters, classic dungeon exploration, and tense combat encounter in a well paced adventure that should from 3 to 5 sessions.

Gameplay details

I do everything I can to provide the kind of fun and rewarding experience I would want as a player. For me that mean there must be a risk of failure. I don't tend to run excessively difficult adventures, I want my players to succeed and give them every opportunity to do so, but I do role everything I can out in the open. The dice are what determine the outcome. The games I like best are the ones that mix roleplaying, exploration, and combat in equal measures which is something strive to do. I also try to gauge my player and adjust to what they find most interesting. I'm very interested in the lore and history of the Forgotten Realms and do my best to keep every in line with the official cannon. Scheduling a session zero to discuss character creation and player expectations is a must. I want to be sure everyone is comfortable and on the same page going into session one.
