About the adventure

The Sundered Lands are a world I've been working on and DM'ing in for almost two decades, and the planned adventure is one that I've been working on since before the pandemic. Without the opportunity to play in person, I've begun to port much of the campaign to an online format. Both this Meet and Greet/Character Creation session, as well as the first play session, will be free so people can decide whether they want to invest time into my game and campaign. This will be an ongoing weekly/bi-weekly campaign. All are welcome. Edit: More Info. Players can choose any class from the PHB. If there are other classes you want to use, feel free to ask. Foe races, I will allow Orc and Goliath. I would prefer players avoid evil alignments unless they have a really good reason, and an effective way to role play it. Over 30 years of running games, ive seen very few evil characters mesh well with the other PC's if they are actually role-playing within their alignment. The setting I'm planning on is my own, I call it the Sundered Lands, it takes place in a small part of a much larger world. This is campaign. The players can decide with me if they prefer weekly or bi-weekly. This character creation session is free of charge, as well as the first gaming session, so players can decide if they enjoy the world and game. While players will be rewarded battle experience, they will also get experience for role-playing their characters. This doesn't mean I expect a team of stage actors with voices, but I want players who want to explore, engage, and investigate a world and story, not just move from encounter to encounter. All types of players welcome! Come and have fun! All skill levels welcome.

How to prepare

Have a roll20 account, as well as D&D beyond. Voice chat is required, and video is encouraged, but a personal decision.

What I provide

Players should have access to dice and PHB. I will provide maps through roll 20.

Gameplay details

This game is for adults, though I do not allow things like graphic sexual content, rape, any kind of pedophilia, and direct harm against children (meaning while your actions could be responsible for the death of a child through accident, or a black powder bomb, there will be no personal, graphic killing of children, for example). There is an instance of a villain committing violence against a woman early in the campaign that moves the plot forward. If this is a problem for the players, we can talk about it ahead of time.

How will character creation work

Characters will be created together during "Meet and Greet", and will start at level 1.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
