About the adventure

"You're moving east through the Marrow Valley. Up until now, you've had a somewhat comfortable and quiet trip. You were hired by a Dwarven miner named Gundren Rockseeker back northwest, in Trostenwald, to escort a wagon to the owner of Barthen's Provisions, then he'll compensate you for your trip. The sun is high in the sky when you spot red smears on the floor up ahead..." In this adventure you will: 🧌Fight goblins, orcs, thugs, wizards, monsters, and the list goes on; 🪄Cast spells to heal, harm, influence, deceive, and protect both ally and foe; ⚔️Find and use magical trinkets, weapons, armor, and artifacts; 🗺️Navigate Phandalin, a frontier town rich with people from the continent of Wildemount. Have you heard of D&D and want to finally try it out? Has "Stranger Things" sparked your curiosity? Maybe you've been watching "Critical Role" or "Dimension 20" and want to know what it is like to be a member of the party that takes on one of the big worlds of Dungeons and Dragons?! Well, you've come to the right place. In this beginner game using the best adventure for first-time players, but set in the world of Exandria, created by Matthew Mercer, we'll explore the game's mechanics, the role-playing aspect, and the aspects that most attract you to the idea of playing a Role Playing Game. The game will be played in Foundry VTT, accompanied by a video call in Discord. During the game, Foundry VTT will be used alongside Theater of Mind to provide a full image of any events and situations that might happen. Artwork, soundtracks, and battle maps will be used, as well as voice acting and sound effects provided by the DM.

How will character creation work

Characters will start at level 1, and character creation will happen during Session 0 in one of two ways: - (Recommended if you have some experience) You bring a character idea already, and I'll help you create it using DnD Beyond; - (Recommended if you have no experience) You select from a list of characters I have already created before tackling character creation. Character Creation rules: - Classes and Subclasses from the Player's Handbook, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, and Explorer's Guide to Wildemount; - Races from the Player's Handbook and Monsters of the Multiverse; - Ability scores are determined by rolling 4d6 (with the DM) and dropping the lowest or using a modified standard array (17 15 13 12 10 8). Characters need approval from the DM before getting into the game.
