Lost Mine of Phandelver

While I recommend playing Dragons of Stormwreck Isle as your first adventure to get started playing Dungeons and Dragons 5e, no matter when you play it, you can never go wrong with The Lost Mine of Phandelver because it's a fun and well-balanced starter game for new players. Additionally, you can now play the full Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk to extend the adventure! If you enjoyed playing these and want to expand your time adventuring in and around Phanelin even more, check out the Dragon of Icespire Peak and its related expansions -- the Storm Lord's Wrath, Sleeping Dragon's Wake, and Divine Contention for a fun way to level up your gameplay!

Dragon of Icespire Peak

One of the nice things about the Dragon of Icespire Peak is that it ties in nicely with the Lost Mine of Phandelver (or full Phandelver and Below: the Shattered Obelisk), since they both take place in and around Phandelin. Additionally, you can expand upon the Dragon of Icespire Peak with the Storm Lord's Wrath, Sleeping Dragon's Wake and Divine Contention expansions to keep the fun going!

Dragons of Stormwreck Isle

This is a great introduction game for new players and new DMs alike. It has everything you need to get started in Dungeon's and Dragons 5e with an interesting storyline and a cohesive collection of quests to learn game mechanics and role playing for beginners. And if you're into the iconic D&D characters from the 80's cartoon series, this game lets you play as one of them! What's not to love?

DM Ron

DM Ron is a seasoned veteran when it comes to role playing and setting the mood for gameplay. He's a talented storyteller that brings his games to life with mood and atmosphere. He's also an established teacher that's great for bringing in and mentoring beginner players, so they're able to effectively use the VTT to jump right into the adventure and make the most of the game from their very first session. To sum up my experience with DM Ron, he knows the game's rules, he knows the VTT tools, and he doesn't let either get in the way of getting to know his players, so they have an exciting night of gameplay that they'll be raving about and sharing with others again and again and again.

Dungeons & Dragons 5e

There's a reason why Dungeons and Dragons is the most popular fantasy role playing game ever. I played AD&D 1e/2e for a decade growing up, but then adult life, the military, family, and a career got in the way, and it wasn't until several decades later that I was able to get back into playing D&D 5e, first with the 2014 release and now with the 2024 release, and it just keeps getting better and better. Now I get to relive my childhood dreams and adventures with others online and in person. It just doesn't get much better than this.
