About the adventure
If you enjoyed playing Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ll love exploring the story that leads up to it in Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus. This is a thrilling adventure that takes you from the city of Baldur’s Gate to the depths of the Nine Hells, where you’ll face fiendish foes, make diabolical deals, and drive infernal war machines. You’ll also discover the fate of the fallen city of Elturel and the archdevil Zariel, who plays a major role in Baldur’s Gate 3. Assemble your party to depart for the prequel to Baldur’s Gate 3. You will help the various governments and factions of the region in dealing with dark forces enveloping the land. Are you hero, villain, or a little bit of both? Forge your path ahead and become hero or enemy of the land. After you rescue or subjugate the city of Baldur’s Gate we will continue in an open world setting and explore the Forgotten Realms like you never have before!
