How Orcus Stole Christmas has the characters begin at a happy village’s beloved holiday feast. The joy-filled townsfolk recently spotted a scary stranger arrive in his unusual sleigh. With a deep belly laugh the pillaging began… Can your party save the children from this mysterious visitor’s clutches by Christmas? Designed for four to six characters of 5th level. This adventure is filled with holiday hijinks and plants tongue firmly in cheek as players face off against Orcus Claws in an effort to rescue all the News down in Newville from being written in blood into the naughty list of the Demon Prince in Red and his Crueltide Elves. In this adventure you will encounter new magic items, and even the dreaded artifact Orcus's Christmas Slay! (Description taken from DriveThruRpg) While most of this adventure is a spoof on beloved Christmas tales, it does have some darker themes not suitable for young children.

How to prepare

This game will be on Fantasy Grounds Unity (not classic), with voice chat on discord. We will not be using video chat for this adventure. You will need a PC or Mac to run Fantasy grounds. It usually doesn't run on portable devices. You will only need the Demo version of Fantasy Grounds Unity. You do not need to subscribe to any of the upgraded services. Obviously, you will need a mic for voice chat. Fantasy Grounds Unity can be downloaded here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/home/FantasyGroundsUnity.php You can set up a Discord Account here: www.discord.com Once you are registered for the game, I will send you an invite to my Discord Channel and provide you login information for Fantasy Grounds.

I have all the core, and most of the expanded, rulebooks digitally loaded on Fantasy Grounds.

Gameplay details

Although there is plenty of combat, some of which is surprisingly deadly, there is some roleplay necessary for successfully completing the adventure. Clever discussions/ Interrogations of NPC's will be needed in some areas. However, be prepared to laugh and have fun. This is obviously not a "serious" adventure, and everyone at the table should be ready to experience, and hopefully contribute, some goofiness to the session.

How will character creation work

The party will need to be a well-rounded group to get through the adventure. I will have some pre-generated characters ready for you to choose from. However, if you register early enough (at least a week before the session) you are welcome to login to the table and we will create the character of your choice.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
