About the adventure
“Time to get the band back together.” 100 years ago, a great darkness fell upon Solitaria. A terrible storm began to grow in the north, a tempest of magic so dense and powerful that our reality bent and warped towards it, and at the center of this dark storm sat Galliconn, The Acid King. While High Queen Keleos’ military fought to keep Galliconn’s armies at bay, it became clear that nothing could stop The Acid King but The Wellspring Key, and that finding it was Solitaria’s only hope. In this pursuit a grand quest was called, and was quickly answered by a group of adventurers who set off in search of this ancient magic. These heroes retrieved The Wellspring Key and stormed The Acid King’s obsidian keep, destroying the great and terrible warlord forever. For their bravery and heroism, they were each enchanted with extended lives to lavish in their heroically earned wealth, power, and comfort. But of course, you know this better than anyone. For it was you and your friends who answered that call so long ago, that that brought your might against Galliconn and destroyed him. Your adventure was successful. Your life’s wish was fulfilled. You should be content, even happy. But nothing gold can last. The new High Queen, Keleos’ daughter Sabrina, has been having secret meetings with strange guests. The Wellspring Key, the greatest source of magic Solitaria has, grows more gray and cracked with age with each day that passes. Rumors have begun to surface of strange happenings at the ruins of The Acid King’s keep. But worst of all is the itch; a terrible, constant itch in the faceted scar on your palm, left by the crystal that destroyed Galliconn. And as all of this uncertainty and fear swirl around you, only one plan occurs to you, a single thought that comes with a smile or perhaps a grimace, but it rings so loud in your mind that you find yourself with no choice but to answer its call. "One. Last. Adventure." In this campaign you will play as former members of a grand adventuring party, The Queen’s Hope, who must reunite for one last journey to, once again, save their world from a great evil that approaches. In this campaign, players will play 5th level characters, with one free bonus feat and a campaign-specific special ability at character creation, with multiple level ups depending on the length of the campaign. This is a classic (for the most part) DnD adventure with a “one last ride” twist, so themes of aging, the search for meaning, and death are likely, but these serious themes are definitely meant to be paired with plenty of levity and comedy. This biweekly (once every two weeks) campaign may be run either as a short term (8-10 sessions) or long term (20+ sessions) depending on player interest. This game is open to players of all experience levels, and is encouraged for players looking to create unique characters, explore a classic high fantasy world with a unique spin, and build a creative story collaboratively at the table.

How to prepare
Make sure to have a working microphone and, preferably, a webcam. Try to have a relatively quiet space to play if possible. Before beginning character creation, make sure to have a D&D Beyond account (a free account will work just fine) and that both Zoom and Discord calling work on your computer (if there are any issues with this, please let me know). While players are encouraged to make their character on their own, I am available for help or a walkthrough for character creation via direct messages or video call.
What I provide
I will provide a fully unlocked D&D Beyond account with content sharing for character creation, online resources for accessing material from official and homebrew DnD content, documents with information about campaign-specific game elements, a Zoom pro account, a Discord server to discuss characters and the campaign once we have our players, and a big brain full of goofy plans and diabolical machinations.
Gameplay details
I am committed to making my tables a safe, comfortable, and fun space to play in. Before the campaign begins, I will provide any documents or resources, including a introduction to the world, system-specific resources for character creation, and links to a private Discord and to a digital and totally anonymous Lines and Veils form*. For Session 0 we will go over safety tools and table expectations, as well as a general overview of the campaign and what the party is looking to get out of this game. We will also, if time allows and depending on player need, go over the basics of character creation and provide aid/resources for players to create their characters. I will also be available between sessions 0 and 1 for one-on-one character creation help and consultation. Note: All the below content warnings are negotiable and subject to change based on individual players' Lines and Veils, as well as overall comfort levels or changes to story elements.

How will character creation work
Characters will begin at level 5 with one free additional feat and special ability unique to your character and this campaign. Character creation will be through D&D Beyond using a content sharing-enabled campaign from my account. Players are encouraged to build their character on their own or on a call with me, but to communicate class/race/concept/etc. to the group at large so that everybody has the opportunity to make a unique character.
