    About the adventure

"In the deep, dark woods, not everything is as it seems. A mystifying curse has been placed on the protectors of the forest, the treants, and a call for help goes out from an unlikely source. Can the adventurers solve the mystery and restore the treants before it’s too late?" Featuring cute animal companions, plenty of deep cut references for Bob Ross fans, and a great overview of all parts of Dungeons and Dragons (role play, combat, puzzles, and following a finicky squirrel and judgmental raven), this module is one of my favorites to run for brand new players as an introduction to D&D. There's just enough "railroading" to keep players on track with a clear goal, but plenty of room for character exploration and roleplay. How to prepare

A webcam, a mic, a character sheet, and access to their dice or an online dice roller are all you need!

    What I provide

I'll bring cute NPC imagery , a patient attitude for rules explanation and reminders, and a killer squirrel impression.

    Gameplay details

The beginning of this game will be devoted to a brief overview of some 5e rules and a walkthrough of safety mechanics, gameplay, and characters. This game will be "theater of the mind" style which means no need to worry about maps or overly complicated software systems. We'll play over Zoom or a video chat method of your choice and focus on inhabiting our characters, learning some D&D basics, and saving those precious treants.

    How will character creation work

Character creation would ideally happen prior to the game. You should feel free to schedule a session with me to do this or create a level one character on your own. If you would like me to just bring a character sheet for you to play, I have some level one options on hand, as well!

    Players can expect
