About the adventure

This is your basic DnD adventure following the Lost Mine of Phandelver module. It is one of the best sourcebooks for newbie players, the adventure is well fleshed out, and the lower levels let you have an experience of the game without dealing with too many abilities. The full campaign is also relatively short, giving you a taste of what to expect if you decide to keep playing, without becoming your forever setting. So, start your first adventure in the Sword Coast and learn the basics to keep going on more elaborate adventures.

How to prepare

No webcam is needed since I never end up using it, but I'm open to the idea in case everyone is comfortable in showing their faces and reactions while we play. It does add to the fun. You can read through the rules in advance but, again, I don't expect you to be an experienced player from the start, so I will be here to remind you of the basic mechanics as many times as necessary. When it comes to software, we can keep it as simple as just discord and theatre of the mind, or, ideally, add a TTRP platform such as roll20. No payment needed, you just need to create a profile. The character sheet will be added to the roll20 campaign to make running the game easier for everyone.

What I provide

I use both digital and physical dice depending on the roll. I can help with illustrating characters too and enjoy doing so, in case anyone is interested. I can also provide access to maps to make the combat easier to follow, and generally help with basic templates if needed on things like character creation.

Gameplay details

Players will receive detailed information on all the safety tools we use. Expect an open communication channel at all times. I'm here to help and have fun, so rules might sometimes be taken lightly in favour of a better experience.

How will character creation work

Since this game is focused on introducing DnD to new players, I will be more involved in character creation. Expect a session 0 where we all come together and discuss our ideas, plus an open line of communication where I help you put your ideas into play through messaging or calls. We'll meet as many times as we need to, so you can come out with the perfect starting character.
