About the adventure
Try out the world's first fitness role playing game! TLDR: Work out while you play a player character driven reoccurring D&D campaign set in or near Liminreach, a homebrew town in a world similar to Faerun. FitQuest combines D&D 5e with a unique system that gets you moving while you play! Developed by Jake Seegers, a NASM certified personal trainer with over 1000 hours of D&D play time in Roll20, and a martial artist since 2009. FitQuest has been in development for over four years, and for the first time ever am I allowing strangers over Roll20 to try it out! I'm eventually on the lookout for folks who would be a good fit for FitQuest, but these sessions are welcome to anyone! FitQuest uses a blend of martial arts, bodyweight, flexibility, and balancing exercises to help you stay healthy while you play the world's best role playing game. Sessions will use Zoom and Roll20, and will be utilizing video and audio. I request that you set up in a space where you can move safely. All participants must be cleared by a doctor to exercise, and will be requested to perform a brief physical activity readiness questionnaire before we begin. - Adventurers Wanted Looking for heroes capable of working on a team - no backstabbers A sense of humor is a must Must be willing to try their best and participate in telling the story Requires a working mic, camera, and quick internet connection. Must be wearing clothes (Don't ask). Must be respectful to all other players, regardless of gender, creed, or race. Play time is 1.5 hours, with Rules as Written. We are playing in a Faerûn like homebrew setting with either: premade level three characters, imported characters, new characters, or randomly generated ones. I prefer a fun, sandboxy, improvisational DMing style, but I will have a setting, characters, and hooks to different adventures laying about. I prefer high adventure tones and exciting cinematic sessions, but am not the best at moderating the nitty gritty of all the rules and am happy to allow players to assist me in adjudicating the rules. Dark themes and violence may arise, but players are encouraged to message me at any point to let me know if something is not working for them. FitQuest will start with twenty minutes of warming up and reviewing the kinds of movements we will use and going over how I implement movement into a D&D game, and then we'll jump right in! Beforehand I will check in with each player to make sure they are cleared for fitness and that we are on the same page about everything. Drop ins are $15 each, but there are cheaper options if you commit to 1-3 months. You also have access to more FitQuest sessions in the week.

How to prepare
Players should have a webcam, mic, a strong internet connection, and a computer that can run roll20 and zoom at the same time. Since my games involve actual movement and exercise from the players, they should have a safe space where they can move while remaining in the frame of camera. They should also have doctors clearance for exercise, and be willing to allow me to review their readiness for physical activity before the first session. A rule book and understanding of the basics of the rules are recommended but not required.
What I provide
I will bring assets that I've purchased or homebrewed in Roll20, as well as zoom. I also if possible will provide music and sound effects if players are ok with it.
Gameplay details
My games are character driven high adventures in a homebrew world like Faerun. Themes include self growth and some power fantasy, as well solving problems with strategy and compassion. I like to blend features from different genres, like running an among us style one shot on a pirate ship, or using Betrayal at House on the Hill for a horror one-shot. As a DM, I'm growing more experienced, but I definitely don't mind being reminded on a ruling here and there. I'm still learning how to incorporate safety tools into my game, but I really appreciate them and am determined to implement them effectively.

How will character creation work
Character level depends on the situation, and will be discussed beforehand in a meeting with me before a player starts so I can give them an idea about the world, what's going on it, and what the other players are up to. If a new game is starting, then I have players start at level one and discuss character creation with each other while rolling for and discussing bonds using the adapted Fiasco system.
