Stand up to the Divide in Cesef ve Zahav!
Dungeons & Dragons 5e on D&D Beyond, Discord, Roll20
About the adventure
A decade ago calamity happened. Some unknown force tore through the land, corrupting it beyond recognition and with it all organic life transformed into monstrosities, the land itself became inhospitable. That was the beginning of the Divide. Now the raptured land threatens what remains of the continent of Cesef, but there is still hope. Hope that a select few would rise up and find a way to stand up to the corruption! The game takes place at the continent of Cesef, in the world Cesef ve Zahav. The main quest of the game is to explore a recent threat to the continent, The Divide, and find a way to clear the corruption it causes, well.. ideally. Each power of the continent has its own theme, from the classic fantasy setting in the Principality to a more gothic inspiration at the Tsardom. The players can choose which part of the world their character is from and we will come up with the necessary details for the character's background. The game will start at the Principality of Cantevigina, a late medieval high fantasy setting. The game will be played in Roll20, but we will use Discord for voice chat and for information about the game and lore, along with D&D Beyond for character creation and sheet management.
How to prepare
The players need a mic, decent internet connection, familiarize themselves with the basic combat rules of DnD 5e. They will also need a Roll 20, Discord and D&D Beyond accounts. The players will need to install the Beyond 20 chrome extension or any other program that will allow them to roll from their D&D Beyond sheet onto Roll 20 VTT. Additionally they will bring what ever art they would want to use for their characters and extras such as mounts and familiars as tokens to the Discord server.
What I provide
I will bring the roll 20 game, DnD Beyond campaign link with content sharing enabled, Discord server for the campaign, battle maps, city maps, region maps, handouts and the game setting.
In Discord will go over the Lines and Veils for me and the players, and write them down so that the Lines and Veils are known to all. The Discord server for the game will have the lore and character creation rules, along with the expectation of the game and house rules. During the game if there is any issue the players are encouraged to send me a private messages. If any player needs a brake they can let me know whenever during the game. At the end of the game I will ask how it went and listen for any feedback for future sessions. The game will be ran as theater of the mind in rp, during combat and dungeon crawling we will use maps on roll 20 (Unless the players will make a choice I am not prepared for in which case it is back to good old theater of the mind). The game is ran RAW but I might interpreted a rule differently then how it is written. It is important to stat that I will never do it out of spite so if there is a disagreement I ask that it will be brought up respectfully. I will allow some changes to the rules if the situation calls for it and if I'm being asked to by the players but generally we will stick to RAW. Normally I don't allow homebrew but for small things and rulings I might make some exceptions, it never hurts to ask!
