About the adventure

The Midsummer holiday is one popular through all realms- both mortal and mystical, and this Midsummer is no different! However, you’ve been tasked with helping to prepare for one of the biggest Midsummer celebrations- a gathering of specially-invited mortals and fey to a glade in the Feywild known as Summerglen. Are you up to the task to ensure the party goes off without a hitch? [This oneshot was written for the IceCreamDice Pride Volume 1 Kickstarter.] This adventure is optimized for 5 characters of level 5! This one-shot is beginner friendly and roleplay-heavy. [It is the player's responsibility to cancel via the dashboard if they are unable to make the session. A guide is here: https://intercom.help/startplayinggames/en/articles/4620101-how-to-cancel-skip-or-leave-a-game.] Proceeds from this game will go to True Colors United, a nonprofit organization that provides resources for homeless queer youth!

Additional Details

How to prepare

You will need the Discord software (either on mobile or a computer), a Roll20 account, and a working microphone. You do not need any experience with D&D 5e and some experience with Roll20 is welcome but not needed! You also do not need to bring your own dice, as we will be using Roll20 for rolls.

What I provide

I will bring my knowledge of the D&D 5e system and my experience with Roll20. As this is a oneshot I have written, I am extremely familiar with the content of the adventure. As this is a digital game, there will be no physical mementos.

Gameplay details

This game has an open-door policy: Players are free to leave without question if they decide the game is not for them. We will also be using X-cards via the Roll20 deck feature so that players can alert if the content is veering into uncomfortable descriptions or events.

Content warnings

How will character creation work

You may either bring a character you have created following guidelines posted in the Discord or use a pre-made character crafted for the adventure. We will be using the Roll20 character sheet for all characters. (If you wish to use DNDBeyond, you must also make sure your relevant character information (HP, AC, etc.) is in the Roll20 character sheet.)

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Low
  • Roleplay: High
  • Puzzles: Low
  • Experience Level: Open to all
