About the adventure

Are you passionate about D&D 5e combat and random encounters? Well, this is the game for you. On Encounter Island, you are your team will teleport to an island of unknown terrain and engage in a random encounter. Monsters, beasts, fiends, celestials, undead, and the rest may be summoned and it is up to you and your party to emerge victorious! Upon entering the game, a party member or the DM/GM shall roll a d10 and the encounter shall begin. The encounter table will be predetermined based on genre: monster, undead, fiend, etc. There are varying levels of encounters based on experience of the players. Levels will divide from 1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-16, 17-20.

Additional Details

How to prepare

Roll your dice, some sort of microphone, and patience. I believe in the rules, but am not above altering them for RP and flavor of combat. For example, if you want to create a wall of stone as a platform jutting out from the side to walk on like a bridge, I would allow it. No software is required. Your own dice is required. Character sheet necessary.

What I provide

I will have additional characters for the players to use if they do not have a character they are interested in. I will have maps and potentially combat music playing throughout combat. Potentially homebrew magical items may be provided.

Gameplay details

This game is set up as a one-shot. Any character deaths are not permanent and have no baring on other stories. This is a purely combat oriented session. There will potentially be descriptive deaths of monsters, mentions of blood, mentions of death, and slaying monsters.

How will character creation work

The characters can come in at varying levels. A one-on-one session can be arranged to create a character, but having a character already created is optimal. This set of one-shots will require players to possess characters prior to game start. If you do not have a character sheet, the DM will randomly provide one to you.

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Medium
  • Roleplay: Low
  • Puzzles: Low
  • Experience Level: Open to all
