    About the adventure

Take a plunge into the mists of Barovia. Face the horrors that dwell in its dark forests, and defeat elder evils. Will you come out alive and see the Sun again? The Master of Ravenloft is having guests for dinner, and you are invited! In this adventure I'll be running the Curse of Strahd module, but with some additions of my own. The entire campaign takes the characters from level 1 to level 10, so it might take a while, fair warning. Curse of Strahd is an official adventure module, published by Wizards of the Coast in 2016 for D&D 5th edition. It's one of the best adventures ever put to print in my opinion, and I've run it multiple times with friends. Its horror athmosphere is something you don't usually get in D&D5e, but I've fine-tuned it to make it as immersive and eerie as possible. Vampires are still cool! WARNING: This adventure is tuned for a heightened chance of PvP. The players that requested it want to enjoy some antagonistic conflict within the party, with realistic resolutions and no hard feelings between players. I won't have you roll persuasion and intimidation checks against each other, but I also won't step in during in-character fights. If this is up your alley, great! CW: This campaign deals with some delicate themes such as stalking, abuse, mental illness and a variety of interpersonal issues. And that is on top of the usual horror and gore one can expect. If any of this sounds like too much for you, I encourage you to contact me privately to discuss what needs to be toned down.

    How to prepare

You need at the very least a Discord Account, as that is what we'll be using to talk. Also hardware that can let you talk to us, so a smartphone or a PC with a mic. I'd also strongly advise having Wi-Fi connection or an unlimited data plan, as these games can potentially consume quite the bandwidth. With this, you're set to play, everything else helps but it's not strictly required Ideally you'd want: >A Discord Account >A Roll20 Account >A PC (or Mac, or Laptop) that can run both >Headphones >A Webcam (absolutely not required to use it if you don't feel like showing your face) >A Microphone (many headphones and webcams come with one) >Stable Internet Connection with unlimited data (WiFi or some nice mobile plan)

    What I provide

I have a Roll20 Plus subscription, as well as the official roll20 module for this campaign. This means we'll be playing on the official maps with dynamic lighting, it gives a lot of immersion. I have also purchased many rulebooks on Roll20. This way I can check and update any race or class feature you might need on your character sheet, automatically and very quickly.

    Gameplay details

This campaign is both roleplay-focused and exploration-focused. You'll travel across the Land, meeting desperate people and defeating horrors in order to reclaim Barovia for the Light and defeat its Dark Lord. Or will you plunge it into further despair in order to become its ruler? It's very well-rounded with plenty of social encounters, dungeon crawling, and mysteries. There's something for everyone.

    How will character creation work

The first session scheduled is a free Session 0. There we'll get to know each other and start character creation. If you already have a character in mind, that's great! But I'd recommend coming with some openness to new idea that might appear during this Session. We'll decide party dynamics and we can start thinking about backgrounds. We'll decide what method to use for stats, level ups, and any homerulings that we can think of. The character sheets will be filled on roll20, and kept up to date by yours truly.

    Players can expect
