About the adventure

Grab your pack, your sword and dont forget....the ledger? If you are going to risk your life diving into a dungeon filled with monsters ready to eat you, you may as well turn a profit on the whole thing! The findings guild is a bit of a silly adventure that will take characters across the magical and war torn sites of Eberron, searching for treasure and building a business. Fighting monsters is a given, but dodging taxes could be what really gets them in trouble. Who knows, if they aren't careful, they might even turn into heroes on the way. The adventure hook: Khorvaire is the most prominent land in the world of Eberron. For centuries it was united under the rule of Galifar, and a kingdom of men. When King Jarot died just over a century ago, Galifar splintered as a war of succession consumed the once-peaceful kingdom. The war raged across the land until four years ago when a mysterious cataclysmic event known as The Mourning annihilated the nation of Cyre. Fearful of suffering a similar fate, the war's combatants forged an uneasy truce, and peace finally returned to Khorvaire. As the land recovers from more than a century of vicious magical warfare, opportunities abound for those enterprising individuals who are unbound by a strict allegiance to crown and country. Many arcane artifacts, powerful weapons, and precious loved ones were lost in the uncaring chaos of the war - and that is where opportunity and our adventuring company meet. As you already know, the Finders Guild is a competent agency, and - with the backing of a Dragonmarked house - has access to all sorts of resources. Their name is known and respected throughout Khorvaire. Many say that it is easier, nay better, for the Finders Guild to unravel the mysteries of the lost. We are not the Finders Guild. You see, all that recognition and respect comes at a steep price - one that most simply cannot afford. The Finders Guild does not help all (or even most) of the people that walk through their doors. How to prepare

We will have a session 0 for creating characters and setting everything up in the virtual tabletop. Players should have a microphone, and a pc with a solid internet connection. Before session 0 players should download Discord and create an account for it. For the *best* experience players may want a second monitor, this can be used to pull up the video chat as I often act and express for characters, or to pull up their character sheet for easy viewing.

Gameplay details

Players will start at level 3 and have the opportunity to advance themselves and their adventuring business! Gameplay will involve dungeon delving, with puzzles, exploration, and unique monsters, as well as the ability to make business connections, research mysteries of the world or just the mysteries of business rivals. The frame of a story is laid out, but players will have the option heavily drive this campaign with downtime activities such as finding artifacts, rubbing elbows with politicians, and more! I am happy to teach new players, but given the player driven nature of this campaign I recommend at least some previous TTRPG experience.

How will character creation work

Characters will be created in a session 0. Players will start at level 3. I use Point-Buy for character creation. I allow all official content except the Satyr and Centaur classes. I also have a custom feat system that I use, which gives players feats every few levels instead of trading an Ability Score.
