About the adventure

Most cities have some quirk or another, that only locals can call their own. For some it's the architecture or the bakeries. But no other city can claim to be funded by merchant druids. Using their mystical aptitude for plant growth, the druids of EbbenDale grow trees at an alarming rate to log, and send down river. Their success has led to many public works. Accessible food grown right within their park-lands, apartment complexes whose pillars are living trees. These and other wonders fill the cities limits. But in this city erected by druids, where the primary tenant is peaceful co-existence and accepting all walks of life, runs a provocative train of thought that rocks the establishment to it's foundation. The right to unlife. Considered unnatural by most, proponents of this idea might argue that negative energy, is just as much a natural element as it's positive counterpart. They also might argue too much positive energy, would kill anyone all the same; begging the question, why is one tolerated more than the other? If one can accommodate for their needs, like any other citizen, should they not in fact be allowed to live there in peace? The Duridic city of Ebbendale, sees itself embroiled in this debate, with various factions flexing their authority. Finding yourself in a culturally prohibitionist atmosphere regarding undeath, you and your party might discover that EbbenDale, has more than one underbelly to stomach. EbbenDale's rising undead scene and guilds, aren't the only thing providing unrest within the city's limits. The sudden and unexplained disappearance of EbbenDale's mountainside, has even the most practiced mages scratching their scalps raw. What's left of their mountain and city, transported into some sort of spherical, domed landscape, where the sea is the sky and the sun is nothing more than an orb floating at the center. It is safe to say that the undead are not the only unrestful spirits within the confines of EbbenDale. What will you do, denison of EbbenDale?
