About the adventure

You’ve had better days, that’s for sure. As you awaken, slightly dizzy, your memory flashes with the last moments of clarity before being knocked unconscious. The never- ending snow of Icewind Dale crunched under your boots as you trudged along the edge of the Reghed Glacier. You remember hearing muffled calls from one side, barely audible over the din of the biting wind. Then came the rumbling. Looking up, you barely had time to notice the avalanche before it swept you off the side of the glacier and buried you in a sea of snow. Still sorting through these events in your mind, you come to the realization you’re now hanging upside down alongside several other hapless souls inside a large cavern. Grateful to even be alive, you remind yourself once again you’ve had better days... A Tier 2 Dungeoncraft Adventure written for D&D Adventurer's League Season 10 optimized for 5 players of APL 8, as run by the author. Character welcome, and encouraged.

How to prepare

Game will be run off Discord and Roll20. DM has a Plus subscription and a room already prepared. Blank character sheets for use with Beyond 20/D&D Beyond are present in the room.

Gameplay details

This adventure is a STEALTH BASED exploration and escape of a yeti's lair. While the proximity between characters and yeti ensures some combat will take place, players are encouraged to plan and prepare their actions before they take them, and will be rewarded for creative solutions. For tactically minded players, there is one expected combat and the potential for a challenging one if the characters wish to take that path. Otherwise it is up to the players and how they choose to engage with the environment. This session will use the X/N/O card system, and players are encouraged to share specific triggers they might have with the DM so they can be avoided. As per the utilized Dungeoncraft seed, the characters start frozen to the ceiling of the yeti's lair, and the adventure begins with their escape. CW: abduction; imprisonment; cults (mentioned)

How will character creation work

This is a Tier 2 Adventurer's League Dungeoncraft session (DC-PoA-LEXI-01), so characters must comply with the Season 11 Forgotten Realms Player's Guide. In accordance with the new season rules, new characters may start at level 5, which is the beginning of Tier 2. Any legal Forgotten Realms AL character may participate in this adventure.
