About the adventure

In this four-session series, you'll learn how to play Dungeons & Dragons 5e through hands-on interaction and collaboration! You don't need to have any experience with D&D to join, as we will go from zero to hero together. I will guide you through the dense jungle of being a newbie to D&D in an approachable and understandable way. As a person with ADHD, the details and concepts of D&D were something I struggled to grasp for a long time. I had to find a way to break down the process for my comprehension! While this course is for everybody, I believe neurodivergent newbies may benefit from how I present this information. In each session, we will scaffold our knowledge of D&D play. Since this is a live series, I can happily answer questions every step of the way. Session one will be a comprehensive introduction to Dungeons & Dragons 5e. We'll cover the essential basics and begin to explore the 5th edition core manual character options. In session two, we will learn about character-building, spellcasting, and getting the most out of our equipment. We'll cover more rules mechanics and prep for our first one-shot campaign with a Session Zero. (A Session Zero is a pre-game session where ground rules are covered and expectations are set for an upcoming game!) In sessions 3 & 4, we'll play a classic, one-shot campaign! How to prepare

Make sure you have a camera so we can see your face. It enhances the roleplay experience and feelings of safety for everyone in the group. Make sure your microphone works well! Video discussions are difficult without a microphone.

How will character creation work

We'll learn how to build a character for the first time together using either the printed character sheet method or the digital DnD Beyond character-building experience.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
