About the adventure

You need to get out of the city. It's not safe for you here anymore. Not that Neverwinter was ever safe. It's a real bad city to be hunted in. We can't hide here for too long. Did you hear there is a hard case dwarf named Grunden Rockseeker who has a job near Phandalin? Rumor has it he found the location of an old Lost Treasure Mine. He needs help recovering it. I didn't hear what the pay was, but the food is provided, and the job is out of town. What? Goblins? Oh they aren't so tough. Yeah, I may have heard something about them being more active along Triboar Trail. The coast and the wilderness hold their own dangers, but you'll be dead if your skin sees another sunrise here. They probably won't kill you nicely. And I'm dead just talking to you if I don't skedaddle too. Sure, will miss ma. Her food is the best. You know dwarves don't waste their time unless they think there is real treasure. This could turn out ok. Right? I mean what could go wrong out there in the badlands in the fall time? Oh, hey, you got warm clothes and a bedroll, right? I hear its frosty at night now. Full moon is tomorrow. I hope you have a better weapon than that look of fear on your face, I took this rusty sword from my brother's weapon locker after he passed out, he won't mind. Not that I'm gonna be there to find out. C'mon, Phandalin is only 2 or three days away!

Additional Details

How to prepare

Players should read Session 0 from Tasha's cauldron of everything and as much of the Player's Handbook as they have time for. Alternatively, players may read the Basic Rules section from D&D Beyond. Players should create a free D&D Beyond and Discord Account. No webcam is needed but players will want to test their microphone on Discord. Players will use digital dice from D&D Beyond and will not need physical dice or paper character sheets. Players should create a space from which to play that is quiet and relatively free of distractions as this is the way to get the most out of the game!

What I provide

I provide digital dice, digital character sheets with full D&D source access. Choices for character pictures are provided during character creation. Campaign and Battle Maps will be provided digitally. Tokens for the Battle Maps will be made by your trusty DM! If you are creative and want to make your character in Hero Forge, you can send me the link and I can render a token with my Hero Forge Pro account and attach it to both the Battle Map Token and your Character Sheet Pic! For additional fun (and cost) I can order you a colored version of your character as a mini figure you can hold in your hand!

Gameplay details

Players can use X,N, & O cards to let me know during play if they are uncomfortable with a topic. This will be through Direct Message on Discord to Durtharias#1133. I have an Open Door for players via Discord Chat on Durtharias's Server.

How will character creation work

Character creation will be done using D&D Beyond. If you don't have time to create a character before the game, I have pre-generated characters! Players should come to the game with a free D&D Beyond account, a discord account and having tested their microphone. I will send a link and invite players to a Campaign in D&D Beyond to my paid account with full access to all the needed books. We will start with Level 1 characters.
