About the adventure

A shadow lays across the face of Barovia like a scar, the shadow of Castle Ravenloft and its cruel master, the devil Strahd von Zarovich. Centuries of immortal rule, pouring out terror and misery upon the Barovian people, long ago ceased to amuse his still heart. His malaise begins to lift when a group of new faces appear in his domain. Who are these strangers? What secrets do they hide? And most importantly, could any of them be a worthy match for the Devil Strahd? Join this ongoing campaign in through the Mists of the Shadowfell, and dare to face the Curse of Strahd! How to prepare

Players will need a microphone, earphones, a notebook, pencil or pen, and a Discord account. Before play begins, they will need to send me, through Discord, a copy of their character sheet.

What I provide

The Discord server will be used for maps, files, and dice rolls.

Gameplay details

Barovia is a rich and densely packed "Sandbox" setting, with lots of opportunities for roleplay , exploration and combat. Players will have free reign to search the realm high and low for anything that might be of help in the fight against the Devil Strahd. Keeping track of information and NPC relationships is vital, as is smart decision making and tactical thinking. Your enemies are many. Life is cheap in Barovia, and death even cheaper, and PC's are no exception. Problems will usually have more than one solution, situations more than one outcome and combat will not be a universal solvent. Player's decisions will matter and have lasting consequences. This game contains themes that some people may find troubling, such as mind control, mental illness, body horror, death, and stalking. If you think you might find any of these themes disturbing, it may not be a good fit for you.

How will character creation work

Players are free to create characters beforehand or wait until the first session, though final stats will be rolled using the dice rolling feature of the discord server, as will all player die rolls. Play will begin at level 1. Players may use character options and spells from the following sources: The Players Handbook, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, and Van Richton's Guide to Ravenloft,

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
